I have a deadly problem with Thunderbird, who can help?
TB has become unusable, I get two error messages on incoming messages (I can still send).
'Confirm. There was an error downloading the following message:
From: *** Subject: *** This message may contain a virus or there is not enough disk space. Skip this message? yes no'
(Almost certainly untrue but the msg does not arrive no matter which is selected)
and
'Error with account *** (I have 6 accounts). Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.'
This started when, using Minitool Partition Wizard, I migrated TB from one SSD to a larger one. Where do these error messages come from? I do and will donate to TB, but I'm about to delete it and move everything to gmail. tho I don't like it as much as TB, Also, why does my User Name have to be unique? I thot that was what the password was for. Bill

What is your anti-virus software?
Can you manage a screenshot of the first error message? It doesn't feel or sound like a Thunderbird message.
Which User Name? For this forum? Since you post by your User Name, it has to be unique.
interesting idea. I have 'McAfee Total Protection' that should have expired but will not delete. I also have Byte Fence to try out, but it also will not delete. So until I can figure out how to delete or disable them I can not check on how I'd do without them. I'll be looking into that.
This problem of mine has essentially disabled TB so far as receiving EM is concerned. Nothing delivered for several days yet the unceasing error messages tell me I'm being sent my usual number - maybe 20 or 30 a day.

If you run two anti-virus scanners simultaneously, this will ultimately cause problems.
Try to start Windows in safe mode with networking enabled. - Win10 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/change-startup-settings-in-windows-10#v1h=tab01 - Win8 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode - Win7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode. - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode
Does the problem go away?
