how long does my history data last, and how can i get the lost history back...
only reason i used firefox is it doesn't delete or throw away my history data like google chrome(which history only last for 6 months...)
as i remember, my firefox sync had history since 2012,
but today i show my firefox history and data before 2016,aug, are gone
and also, the old history data, only has one or two page data per day...... like i opened hundreds of pages everyday
what happened?
did the new firefox 50, or maybe firefox 49 updated have change about history settings?
is there any way i can get back the old histories?
like somewhere in closet, i have my old ssd i used for os a year ago with firefox...
will that be help?
my english skill is not good, so its hard to explain...
but what i want to know is where did old history data go... and how to back up history data.
and how to restore my old history data (and if possible, i want to merge history data to my firefox sync)

Are you connected to Sync?
I think that Sync manages only a limited amount of history, so do not rely on Sync to backup or transfer large history.

I want to have 2 separate Firefox accounts and want to keep their browsing history safe forever. How do I do it? If I sync the browsing history to Firefox account, for how long does Firefox keep it?
This is getting me nowhere at all. I've about had it. Once I find a viable solution, I'll pursue it. If there is no possibility of recovering the download data from Jan, 2017, I will look for an alternative, & make certain to share my chagrin with others. Please believe me: I support the many great things that Mozilla does, but I cannot afford to lose such info- again & again - and I'm sorry to say, that my needs must must take precedent in my case.
