Hi,

my problem occurs on a Windows 10 Home with Swiss German localization on a Lenovo ideapad.

When I resize (maximize) the window, TB does not refresh at all, all I get is a big white frame. When I move the mouse over this white space, parts of the content are refreshed, which leaves some black spots on letters. The black spots also appear while more or less slowly resizing the window by dragging it with the mouse. The latter also happens in Firefox for text content, but not that severe. This only happens with Mozilla applications, I haven't noticed that with any other application.

Any ideas what causes this? Any suggestions how to fix it?

Thank you, Carsten

Chosen solution

from the menu I see visible, select Tools and then Options. In the advanced tab > General select or deselect the hardware acceleration option. there is no "Right" only right for you and your graphics driver revision.

Some additional information:

I've tried to do some screen shots, however for TB the snipping tool cause a complete refresh, without it, it would look much worse.

Hi Matt,

worked fine. I turned off hardware acceleration on TB and FF and after restarting the applications it worked without fragments.

Cheers, Carsten

just be aware you might have to do it again when windows or your video driver updates. It is a setting that is problematic with only some revisions of some video drivers. It has been driving the Firefox developers nuts for some years now. One day I hope it will all be sweet.
