Suddenly can't add new bookmarks in FF 52.1.0

Last few days, when I try to add a new bookmark and click the star twice (to select where it goes), no new bookmark is added anywhere. FF 52.1.0 32-bit.

If i re-start FF in safe mode (no add-ons), it works like before.

If I am in full mode but disable Xmarks, it still doesn't work.

My add-ons (which I've had for years and years) include Ad-Block Plus, Better Privacy, Cookie Monster, Cookie Manager+, Disconnect, HTTPS Everywhere, IE Tab (which just replaced IE Tab 2 which no longer works on the new FF), NoScript and Xmarks.

What do you think? Why is this happening now, after years.

Thanks.

Hi, some general bookmarks info: When you click on the star, the bookmark, by default, will go into Other Bookmarks (prior to v48 known as Unsorted Bookmarks); however if you wish it to go to a different destination, keep your mouse pointer over the dialog box to prevent it from disappearing, then use the upper, downward pointing arrow on the far right, to select a destination > Done.

Since it's Ok in Safe Mode, open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Extensions, and disable all your add-ons then restart Firefox. If bookmarks are working, enable your add-ons one by one until you find the culprit - not likely to be ABP. Note, you may need to restart FF when some are enabled. (Sometimes, add-ons stop working or cause issues after the add-ons themselves, or FF updates).
