Your email password is administered with your email provider. Contact them to reset a forgotten password. Most providers have a link to reset passwords on their email help page.

You can see what password you told Thunderbird to remember by going to Options-Security-Passwords-Saved Passwords Click Show Passwords.

I did what you said, about going into Options-Security-Passwords, and it showed me the exact password that I had been trying to use. So I went back and carefully typed it in again, and was still told it was an error. SO, I went back to the options again, and this time NOTHING showed up, not even my username. Strange, but when I came on here, I had No trouble at all Signing in.

Oh, I even tried setting up my account all over again, and it still tells e password OR login name is in error.

HELP! My desk top is out of commission, so I am trying to use my laptop, which works fine, but I haven't used it in many months.
