Hotmail has Secure Connection Failed
Just today after years and years and years of no problems with Hotmail Firefox has decided to not allow me into my accounts and gives me this "Secure Connection Failed" WHY FFS?????? Chrome opens Hotmail but in Firefox's defense I like Firefox over Chrome. What have I got to do I refreshed Firefox that did not fix the problem. Any ideas please. Thanks.

There seems to be something wrong on some Microsoft servers if you see this SEC_ERROR_OCSP_INVALID_SIGNING_CERT error message. Hopefully they fix this quickly on affected servers.
This looks like a problem with OCSP Stapling on the server because it works when I disable OCSP Stapling in Firefox.

You can temporarily toggle this pref to false on the about:config page to disabling OCSP Stapling works for you. It is best to reset this pref via the right-click context menu to true once you are done with the this website.
- security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling = false
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

Cor-el Thank you that worked my problem is I like to leave my hotmail open all day while online. So what I have done is reset it back to True now I have been able to get Hotmail open. Also when you say "affected servers" are they my ISP's servers or Hotmail's servers? My ISP is trying to boot me from my ADSL2+ to the new NBN and the old ADSL will be turned off in about 6 weeks so do you think that might have something to do I mean work the ISP is doing re the move to the NBN?
I've seen a report about Bing and about OneNote, so it looks that Microsoft has changed the configuration on more servers.
Ok thank you very much for your help.
Does it work for you at the moment?
I just checked login.live.com and I can login via that site (mail.live.com doesn't work).
I have the same problem on my Mac i.e. unable to open my mail in Firefox. I'm an OAP and struggling to understand this issue or the 'solutions' offered. Can anyone give me simple step by step instructions to solve this? I can (thankfully) still get my mail on my phone or in another browser (Safari) but not in Firefox. Thanks.

OK I figured it out - thanks cor-el
