I added Firefox Lightbeam onto my tool bar, but notice that I have to go the page to turn it on. Is there some way I can get it to turn on when I log in? Further, the Lightbeam screen remains blank, regards of how many sites I visit. Unable to get "data gathered since", "sites you have visited" or "you have connected with" functions to work; arrow turns into a cursor. I've removed it and reloaded it several times and it still does the same thing - nothing. I read all the literature I could find about this extension. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

I had this on once. Was fun for a little while. Hope below answers your question if not should try here : https://discourse.mozilla.org/latest?tags=lightbeam

There are a couple ways to try out this web extension:

Open Firefox and load about:debugging in the URL bar.
Click the Load Temporary Add-on button and select the manifest.json file within the directory of this repository.
You should now see the Lightbeam icon on the top right bar of the browser.
Click the Lightbeam icon to launch the web extension.
Install the web-ext tool, change into the directory of this repository, and type web-ext run.
This will launch Firefox and install the extension automatically.
This tool gives you some additional development features such as automatic reloading.
