Hey Guys,

I have a question about the backup bookmork files Firefox makes.

How can i open the files to view them with restoring them? I screwed up and deleted a bookmark I need about a week ago and I dont want to restore the file. I have I think 10 backups and I only want to open the file to find the one i delete. The book marks are some .jsonlz4 and I have not found a way to view inside them.

Or is there a viewer that can work so i can find the bm i deleted?

Thanks in advance Grendor

Chosen solution

Mozilla used to have another browser called Seamonkey in the fold. It has split off but uses same tech, try downloading Seamonkey https://www.seamonkey-project.org/ and importing the bookmark/jsonlz4

Suggest you might want to export them as Html. There used to be ways to do timed backups but I have not idea now.

There are other programs that will open it but hoping this is the simplest.

Though could create another Profile in Firefox and then Import them into that. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Or could download a Extended Release Version of Firefox and install that. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
