Classic theme restorer no longer works, so now I have to look at a gruesome UI, videodownloadhelper formerly placed my downloads in my personal video-folder on E, now I can no longer rely on that, it puts everything in "My Videos" on C, where I don't want anything to be put. You give this message ( see attachment) in the opening site of your "new" Firefox, a program I'm using since version 2 or 3, and it's ABSOLUTELY NOT what I'm waiting for. It is not faster for me (speed is depending on servers elsewhere) it's just a bad copy of chrome, which I don't like. Stay yourselves, make your own FF, don't fix what aint broken, because that is stupid. So, Please fix the missing possibilities.

Here are your choices; 1) Contact its support and ask if they will update 2) Find a replacement 3) Downgrade to a prior Firefox 4) Do without

@FredMvD

@1: they don"t get the necessary apis from mozilla @2: there is no such thing as a replacement for Classic theme restorer @3: downgrading works only for one session, because FF updates itself @4: if I didn't want it I would do so, but I have to do now so although I don't want to

So your answers don't help me

@Paulus65

@@1: this is something the creator of the Addon to update or not @@2: there are chrome.css that can make a look as prior FF you must look @@3: there are ways to go back and stop the update but you must look @@4: Latest FF is a love/hate now so either go or no go

These are you choices now regardless if you like them or not.

I read where the author of Classic Theme Restorer said that because of coding issues, there is no way to rewrite the program.

As to Firefox updating itself;

First, Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar. Under Advanced, Select Update.

[v56+] Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Select Update.

Select Never Check For Updates.

Also turn off Use a background service to install updates
