Since new design has been added firefox has become unstable.

Trying to read articles becomes impossible as the text is jumping all over the place as the ads load and reload.. then after a couple of mins the tab crashes and i'm given the option to continue.. i do and the issues start all over again.

I was trying to download a few items earlier and it turned into a race to see if I could get to the download before the page crashed.. didn't always make it.

Are there some settings I can change to stop this? otherwise I will find an alternative browser.. which is a shame because I have used firefox almost since its inception. I have had a few error reports automatically created and sent during the issues.

Has always been a fix for ads for years. Ads are not from Firefox they are from where aver you are visiting..

Ublock Origin https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/ and Ghostery https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghostery/ work well together to block ads.

Go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Help ? --> Troubleshooting Information Page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there. if yes, go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser. Restart Firefox

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

You can check for recently installed suspicious or unknown extensions.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
