Latest version for Mac seems to treat the dock as a popup. if the popup blocker is active the dock won't appear

With the latest (57.0.1) version the dock and indeed the header vanished whilst on a Firefox window but worked fine with all other windows. This is with High Sierra 10.13.1. If the popup blocker is disabled in Preferences all seems to work fine
