So I have an Extension at my company we developed that does not go through the App store. We want to deploy this Extension to all users when we do a security update on the Consumer version of Firefox (57.0.2). However, we cannot silently install the app without modifying the prefs extensions.autoDisableScopes and extensions.enabledScopes which causes some security risk concerns for the user.

How can we deploy the Extension to the users machine and install & enable the Extension without opening a security flaw?

Is more than a security risk, you ever stick that on my system...... Can see why people get hit with DDos attacks. You are going about this the wrong way to begin with. : https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2014/06/05/how-to-develop-firefox-extension/ https://activate.mozilla.community/webextensions/
