My emails appear to be current but since 12/27/17 they all carry the received date of 12/27/17 even though they have been received since then. My regular email client (outlook) has the proper date on the emails. When I go to the email provider and use their email client, the date is correct but with thunderbird the date is always 12/27/17. The date on my computer is correct. I have configured Thunderbird to be the client for my gmail account as well as my regular account. I don't have the problem with my gmail account, only my regular account. Both the regular email and the gmail account are configured to use the IMAP protocol.

Any ideas?

First of all create a full backup of your Thunderbird profile. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data#w_backing-up-a-profile

Then try to rebuild the index file of the troubled folder. Right-click the folder - Properties - Repair Folder

I backed up the profile folder. In Windows Explorer in Windows 10, I don't have an option to repair the folder. Am I doing something wrong?

Folder repair is in Thunderbird.

Okay, I did it but it didn't solve the problem.
