Suddenly I'm getting popups and redirects several times a day, but my privacy settings should shut these out.

Maybe a month ago, I began to get pop-ups, even though I'm block popups. Shortly afterwards, I started getting mutiple attempts to redirect. Firefox has always blocked, but the redirects have become more and more persistent, so now the majority of the times I go to a site, or new site, there is an attempted redirect. Very annoying. I'm also sending this problem to my anti-malware - Bitdefender - because it is not showing that I'm having any problems whatsoever.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you very much for all your advice - I followed it to the letter. However, it's taken me a little while to get back to you because I wanted to run each anti-malware at a time the computer wouldn't be doing anything else.

FYI: Every single anti-malware program found something the ones before did not find - mostly threats, but... damn. I guess I should be running more than one. Are you allowed to make recommendations?

Then, I worked on my computer as usual, and wanted to have opportunity to access all my normal internet places, etc. I have not encountered a single unwanted redirect, nor any pop-ups at all.

Thanks again
