Hi,

My thunderbird stop sending emails, after I changed my hosting from ixwehosting to hostgator. I am receiving email fine, but email on gmail, yahoo and some other domains have just stopped going.

Thunderbird shows the message is sent but it never received on recipient email account.

I have configured SMTP and POP3 settings as mentioned by hostgator and talked to their support but still emails not receiving.

Moreover, I installed MailSpring application in my linux box and configured same hostgator settings in it and emails are receiving from it. Even from my mobile Android BlueMail the emails are received.

It looks like some settings are in thunderbird cache that is causing this issue.

I have changed my email account password, added it again in thunderbird, but it still showing same behavior.

Can someone shed some light on this problem?

Chosen solution

Not received email.

re :

  1. 127.0.0.1 localhost
  2. 127.0.1.1 gurupak-PC
  3. 127.0.0.1 gurupak-PC #just added this line for testing purpose for TB

When you added the last line emails stopped being received. Perhaps this causes a conflict with the localhost in first line. Suggestion: in the third line shown above, you change the '127.0.0.1' to say your IP address which was used by thunderbird in the HELO. I sent you an email which showed that IP address which had been inserted instead of 'gurupak-PC'. Then try to send me email.
