I just downloaded Firefox to my Chromebook. Where is the icon to start the browser?
Have been unable to stream Xfinity TV, although up until two months ago, or thereabouts, I was not having the problem. Comcast suggested that I try changing browsers. I think I downloaded Firefox; however, I do not see the icon.

If your Chromebook supports Android apps, then you can download and install Firefox from the Google Play Store.
More information can be found in the Install Firefox on an Android device using Google Play documentation.

If you downloaded the desktop Firefox tyhen it will not work as it is for Windows, Mac OSX, Linux. The Chromebooks uses a Chrome OS.
It may be possible to run the Android Firefox version depending on your Chromebook. However it was made for tablets and phones in mind and not laptops. https://www.techrepublic.com/article/how-to-run-firefox-quantum-on-a-chromebook/
To run the desktop Firefox there may be options now or in future.
You may be able to install Linux on your Chromebook however it is not for the less technical users. https://www.lifewire.com/install-linux-on-chromebook-4125253
More powerful Chromebooks like the Google's own premium Pixelbook may be able to run Linux apps in a custom virtual machine (VM), which runs a version of Debian. https://www.engadget.com/2018/05/08/chrome-os-linux-support-official/
