I have been a faithful Firefox user for years. Today I had some problem with the debugger I could not solve, so with a heavy heart I installed Chrome. My own homepage was always slow, so I thought. But today I had a relevation: it's not my homepage or my internet connection, it's Firefow. It took me 20 seconds to open fargriket.com and another to open http://fargriket.com/guide-vaggfarg-660-komplett/. When I opened the same pages in Chrome it took less than a second!!!! Less than a SECOND! I have wasted hours, days, month of valuable worktime, waiting for some page to load, always believing it is my slow internet connection or my badly optmized homepage. Can anybody explain this to me????

Hi, it does vary from user to user, new Profile or a old Profile which you could have tried at anytime. Firefox does like clean code as does Google Webmaster Other browsers ignore the W3C.org practises and standards while Firefox does not.

Regardless of errors pages need to be made for all browsers not just one.

Thank you for your swift response. I was not aware of all these errors nor knew I how to check for them. From what I can see, the errors are caused by plugins, not written by me. However, I tested a little more and it turned out, that it is not Firefox that is slow, it is Wordpress itself. I was browsing my page from Firefox logged into WP and not logged in when using Chrome. When logging out from WP Firefox is just as fast and when logged in Chrome is just as slow.

Hi, glad you figured out the issue was login/log out.

Yes outdated WP can slow things and is a security risk. I do stuff in HTML5 Responsive only to prevent that issue. A lot of the HTML Errors is minor and is resolved by removing text in the java script.

I guess I have to bring my complaints to WP. Moving to a new platform is not possible for me right now. And I guess I have to be more careful what plugins I use:-)
