Firefox 64.0 has been the current Release since December 11, 2018.

You appear to be using a 63.0.x version according to your More System Details by your post.
Hello whyknot,
What you do need to update though, is Adobe Flash Player .....
Your system details show that you're running an older version, which can cause problems. Would you please uninstall your current version and install the latest version, which is 32.0.0.101
Uninstaller : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Note : some 'extras' may be offered in the download.
Do you want to share a screenshot of the update prompt you're seeing to get a second, third or fourth opinion on it? This article has tips on screenshots: How do I create a screenshot of my problem? Please cut out or blur any sensitive information in the image before attaching it to a reply.
To distinguish between fake messages from web pages and messages from Firefox or an add-on, you can test using zoom: hold down the Ctrl key and tap + a few times. The page content should enlarge. If the notification enlarges, it is part of the page and not part of Firefox's interface. (Hold down Ctrl and tap 0 to reset the zoom level, or click the 120% button -- or whatever it says -- in the address bar.)
