Using Firefox on Mac. Usually can have many tabs open with no problem, now my Mac tells me to shut down applications, even with only 4 Firefox tabs open.

I only had 4 tabs open now, whereas one of them was a TV-show streaming site, and my Mac still told me to shut down applications. Firefox was using 1,5gb or something according to the error notification. I usually have like 30 tabs open. Tried yesterday to use Safari to stream stuff on PrimeVideo, and got no errors.

Hi,

you can reduce memory consumption with the following link https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-uses-too-much-memory-ram

Additionally, try lowering the number of content processes Firefox uses via the Performance Settings like so : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings

thank's
