I seem to be receiving emails from everybody else just fine - but for the past two days every email he has sent me has not arrived. According to his outbox they have sent. Telstra says everything looks ok from his end.

Is your account POP or IMAP? If it's POP, or it's IMAP and you don't subscribe to your provider's Spam or Junk folder, you wouldn't see mail that was mistakenly routed to Spam or Junk unless you checked your account through webmail, where all folders are visible. POP accounts only download the Inbox.

Bizarrely he fixed the problem by switching his router off and turning it on again....
