In macOS, the set of settings for printing does not save changes for Mozilla Firefox
Mozilla Firefox has options for printing to print the background color and print the background image. I select these options, then save as a new set of settings. But the next time you print and select your own set of settings, the settings are not active - checkboxes are not highlighted in “Print background color” and “Print background image”.
I observe the problem both in macOS Sierra, and in mac OS Mojave, I have not tried other macOS, because I do not need them. Help set up to save the settings.

Hi MishaK20, I know the dialogs are different on MacOS than they are on Windows, so I'm going to suggest checking something that should be the same for both of us:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste print_bg and pause while the list is filtered
Firefox should show preferences ending with print_bgcolor and print_bgimage for all of the printers you have used in Firefox.
(3) If any of the print.printer_name.print_bgcolor or print.printer_name.print_bgimage preferences are set to false, double-click them to switch the value to true
I think this should show up the next time you print (those boxes checked) but I'll wait to hear whether it makes a difference for you.
