My brand new buy attire website https://www.BuyAttire.com is not displaying properly in firefox, it seems your default setting for this website is to "not auto play sound", this option is blocking the top of page automated playing video with sound from working. This results in a lower experience for my potential customers and loses my company business. I am writing to firefox in an attempt to get you to program firefoxes setting to automatically allow autoplaying video and sound across my entire website. The website is 100% secured professionally by "shopify" Australia and International divisions. I can provide you with any legal information you need to program firefox to automatically display autoplay sound plus video across the entire domain and all sub domains (I have a different sub-domain for every country), the site automatically refers country traffic to their relevant country sub domain from my base domain "BuyAttire.com". What information do you require to program firefox to auto display audio and video on this domain and all sub domains? I can provide you with this information at the moment: my email info@buyattire.com (contact me here) company phone number (international version, australia based is) +(phone number removed by mod) company legal business name: COPYRIGHT SEO PTY LTD T/A BUY ATTIRE" company australian business number: 73 605 535 028 based in Victoria, Australia, distributing all products globally within 7-21 days on average. thanks

No, there are no overrides in Firefox. Users have the control to not allow autoplay music and Firefox won't make an exception for your website

Firefox blocks autoplaying sound by default. This isn't singling out your website, all websites that autoplay sound are blocked.
You can read more about this at https://hacks.mozilla.org/2019/02/firefox-66-to-block-automatically-playing-audible-video-and-audio/
Note that not everybody appreciates that a video with sound starts playing automatically when you visit a website. You might be listening to something else or are are in a place where you do not want this to happen or you might be sensitive to moving content.
If you provide a play icon to start playing the video then it would be a lot easier. There aren't controls visible as well, so you need to right click the video once started.
This still doesn't solve my problem it is a condition of entry to the site that all users must allow autoplay audio and video in their browsers. I know the mozilla team is capable of programming overrides in firefox and this is extremely simple, even for me to accomplish. I will "keep pushing" and "soldiering on" until an actual mozilla official with the "authority" to program an override for my site sees "sense" and allows me this privilege. Please refer this to your relevant department with the "authority" to do something like this, ty. (you can contact me through my initial post (above) that I made through firefox, however this reply is created through "chrome" so that's why my correct username may not display cheers. This is me and Yvette in the image cheers.

I don't like being told "NO". I'm a "YES" man personally (LOL),.
Do you officially represent mozilla and are you allowed to escalate this matter higher (ABOVE YOUR HEAD) or do you not have that ability and should we close this ticket?
Thanks my dude :)
You are being told no. There is no way to add a whitelist of sites that are allowed to violate user choice
You can post a message on your website or a link to a FAQ page if you detect Gecko in the user agent, so they can look for a block auto-play icon in the location/address bar and click this icon to make an exception and allow auto-play.
Actually yeah Cor-El I actually already knew that and was planning to go one step further and just make the firefox version of my website only play the video and not the audio, so "ALL" firefox user automatically at least see the cool video.
I'm actually forced to omit the apple pc safari browser and the firefox browsers from my marketing campaigns as best as possible whenever allowed because of this "no autoplay audio" garbage.
Ummm question to the moron who programmed this rule into firefox:
Question as follows:
"What sort of a freaking "IDIOT" changes website to allow users to get a better experience on those websites when the developers of those websites created a worse experience and don't really deserve the traffic?"
ANSWER: (YOU KNOW IT BABY)
"The moron who disabled autoplay sound in firefox"
My final verdict:
"Users should hgave the right to witness a website for what it "actually is" and make their own decision if they want to stay on the website or leave it permanently. By disabling autoplay audio as default in firefox, you're essentially keeping users on websites and generating more profits for websites with autoplay audio which is exactly what I thought mozilla was combating"?
Anyway, imho, this default setting is taking away free speech, just like "corrupt governments do"..
Furthermore. incase mozila and any other stupid browser that does not allow autoplay audio. The internet is "SPEEDING UP" and not slowing down...
In the future, all users will want websites to be able to play sounds automatically, it will be the "standard" in the future. and I already know if browsers like Mozilla etc want to stay in business, eventually the moron/s who disabled this setting will be forced to admit they were wrong and reverse this stupid setting.

I'll be closing down your account as we do not allow personal attacks on the mozilla support forums
you stupid insignificant infidel, just like a said, no "free speech" lol.
