When I try to open a new Firefox screen I get the following error on both desktop and laptop computers.

"File not found

Firefox can’t find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/browser/omni.ja!/chrome/en-US/locale/branding/browserconfig.properties".

I have searched mozilla support and completed the suggested tasked without success. I ultimately deleted the firefox app and searched for and deleted any mozilla and firefox files. I down loaded a new firefox app. That did not correct the error. Same message appears. Help

Thank You

This is usually a problem with the Home page setting that still has a localized value used in older Firefox version instead of of a fixed URL. current Firefox releases use the Firefox Home page (about:home).

You can check the homepage setting.

Firefox supports multiple homepages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
