You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Hi eoin45, The only info that I could find at the Malwarebytes Threat Center is for frtyn. com. See here: frtyn .com

When Malwarebytes quarantines it, you should be able to determine which folder it is in and then eliminate the root cause of it - maybe an extension?

tfrtyn.com, t.frtyn.com, or frtyn.com call is executed when firefox.exe opened. i think it is due to an add-on.

add-on creator should be banned.

@ allan.feldberg , Determine which extension it's coming from. When you Remove the extension, you will have the opportunity to Report the extension. It may then be retired to the Blocked Add-ons list and the Author may ultimately be retired with it.

You can check the connection settings.

  • Options/Preferences -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":
