Firefox for Linux, Xubuntu. Recent browser reinstall. The Preferences page now reads "Updates disabled by your system administrator". I'm a home user so I must be the administrator, but I have no recollection or intent to disable updates. How can I re-enable updates? Thank you.

Is this about Firefox from the Mozilla server or Firefox from the repositories ?

If you use the latter then you need to use the software management from your distribution to handle updating.

Do you have installation Firefox in a folder in your Home directory or in a location that requires root permissions ?
