I have read all of this post https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1277826?page=3 and not only feel the frustrations but share them too. Ive spent all afternoon reading and trying everything people post. 1. The directions to even get to the Font Formatting does not match what I have as obviously that path has changed. I had to work it out myself by clicking on practically every option I could find. 2. I have set my Font and colours under the formatting that is suggested. It is set to NEVER but STILL the colours do not change! 3. I use the colours ALOT! I agree that this is a ridiculously stupid thing to have changed when it was working for years. Why? There are thousands of views for this problem over the years so why does it still occur? 4. I have a lot of local folders with stored emails so I do not want to be forced to move from thunderbird but frankly these little annoying, time wasting things are going to force me to find something else. In the middle of a lock down, would this not have been a perfect time for people to do something about updating this platform?

Does anyone have a solution for this stupidly simple thing before I just give up? Thank you

You click on icon to select colour. then select 'choose a colour' button to open the colour picker. Select colour. Then close the colour picker, finally click on OK.

What happens if you close the Mac color picker before clicking OK?
