Under "Cookies and Site Data," "Clear Data" also removes the exceptions to "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed."
Under "Cookies and Site Data," "Clear Data" also removes the exceptions to "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed." That's a contradiction, and basically it becomes a waste of time to enter the exceptions. That's what exceptions are -- the rule "exepts" them. It would be nice if Firefox could fix this (unless there is already a work-around for it). FWIW. Thanks.

That happens if you clear the Site Preferences either via "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise.
- clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exceptions for passwords and other website specific data
Only if you use "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" then you keep cookies with an allow exception.
