Thunderbird = TB. Hi user:Alan, it appears to me that, may be your problem related to ADDRESS-BOOK (in TB) is similar to the problem posted by user:tassos1 HERE, contacts are fully (in your case) or partially (tassos1 case) lost , i have posted a solution , please see if its useful/applicable or solves or helps to solve your problems.

Whatever you do, do NOT destroy xxxx.mab.bak files in your Thunderbird profile, they will be needed by developers to determine why your addressbook is not working properly
