My Gmail account is hardly loading or sending since the Dec 15 issue
As of December 15 when Googles was hacked from what I herd, my one Google Gmail account on Thunderbird is hardly loading or sending out emails. Once it does load a incoming email and you click on it, it takes for ever to load the message. Sometimes it even says at the bottom it's sending which is strange. When I go to Google email site everything works fine, loads and send perfect. Why is this happening with Thunderbird. I can get my Comcast emails quick and send quick on Thunderbird. I have tried everything from removing the gmail account and reinstall to uninstall all of Thunderbird and install it again with no luck. Please help as this is now my main email account for everything and I have been using Thunderbird for over 20 years and prefer it to be my main provider for email. Thanks, Steve

Google wasn't hacked. They had a technical problem.

Do you get a 'Not responding ' message in the title bar?
What is your anti-virus software?
Did you subscribe to the 'All Mail' folder?

Thunderbird has been released in 2004.
I ... prefer it to be my main provider for email.
Thunderbird is an email client. Neither Thunderbird nor Mozilla are an email provider. Your email provider is Google.
Do you get a 'Not responding ' message in the title bar? ( no, it just takes several minutes to load and then another several minutes for the message portion to show up ) ( I use McAfee, I know there are settings that McAfee could cause a issue, but this is like I have never seen before happening and it all started right after 12/15) (Also, this is happening on my desk top , but also on my lap top as well. ) (There is a all mail folder in the all folder column which has always been there. ?? )
I use McAfee
McAfee has always been problematic in connection with Thunderbird. See https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Antivirus_Related_Performance_Issues#McAfee
