There is a design flaw in a recent update of firefox for android. When I am trying to close tabs quickly from the bottom, the "tab closed, undo" button is now positioned directly over the X mark on the next tab to close the next one and I have to wait until it goes away to close the next tab. This is extremely frustrating and I am hoping this is fixed soon. It is taking 3 times as long to close my tabs in the order I would like to. The button just needs to be very slightly thinner and the X mark for the next tab will not be blocked anymore.

I ALSO WANT TO ADD THAT I STILL CANNOT REORDER MY TABS ON ANDROID AND IT IS DRIVING ME INSANE. PLEASE FIX!!!!

Hi

Thank you for your feedback. This is something that our developers are looking into. You can follow progress at: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/19166

Ok does all the stuff on that page mean that the issue is being worked on? Can you give me an estimate of when it will be fixed? Even if this becomes some kind of feature that must be paid for, if it is reasonable I will pay for it.

Hi

As you can see, the most recent comments were eight days ago, so it looks fairly recent.

I cannot give you an estimate (follow progress in that link for updates), but I am fairly comfortable saying you will not have to pay for this.

Ok thank you for your reply.

Are you saying the commentary on that page indicates that firefox will again allow reordering of tabs on android at some point in the future? Or is the possibility of that happening just a "maybe"?

Does me posting here help along the possibility of this being allowed again??? Is anyone who can program this hearing me? Or do I need to post somewhere else?

Are you in contact with whoever is making the decisions to program this??

Allfourseasons, Thank you for posting this. It's been bugging me too. I switched to tab tile view which helps as the Undo is out of the way. However I prefer List view and look forward to this fix / revert to previous behavior. CJ

I learned from posting in the firefox subreddit you can swipe the button away which is very helpful at least.

That open issue is one of many features that our developers are working on. I cannot say when or if this will land, but given that it is still open it is fair to say that it is still being looked into. You can add comments to that ticket directly.

I have the problem that when I use the "undo close tab" pop up button, the tab reopenes at the top in the first position. I would like it at the bottom because that is usually the tab I close by mistake. Or even better in the spot where it was when I closed it.

Does anyone know where I should post this request? I find this forum hard to navigate on my phone.

EDIT: I use the grid tab pattern NOT the list one.

I would like if button undo was at top of screen as pop-up. It is anoying when i want to close 2-3 tabs and need to wait. ( yeah thanks for info about swiping but thats not a solution )
