Update nags when I'm already up-to-date

more options

Every time I restart my up-to-date Firefox I must dismiss a pop-up nagging me to update Firefox. I would like to know when an update is really available, but these nags otherwise are counter-productive. How can I stop them? (I use the release channel.)

Chosen solution

The System Details list shows you use Firefox 88.0 The current release is Firefox 89.0.2, so you are three versions behind.

You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (89.0.2) in all languages and all operating systems here:

I'm guessing that I misread my current version number. I'm marking the question as solved. If I encounter this problem again, I'll repost.
