I am having an issue every 5 minutes where firefox will not load any pages it essential makes me stuck on the page. I have to than clear my cache for it to work again only to have the issue again a couple of minutes later. I have refreshed firefox 4 different times, uninstalled 3 times to no but nothing seems to work.

See if this helps; Location of the cache/cache2 folder; Windows: *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\ Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/ Linux: ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox/

Close Firefox. Open your file browser to the above and remove the folder.

Ok I removed the folder you said and it seemed to have worked last night as I didn't have to clear my cache once, but now the second search I did the next day wasn't loading and I needed to clear my cache again. I'm just not sure what the cause of this is. I do Web Development using Firefox so I clear my cache pretty regularly when im wondering if I broke or corrupted something when I cleared my cache during development if that a thing not sure if that helps but I thought I should mention it.

Use these links to create a new profile. Use this new profile as is. Is the problem still there?

I actually did this before I open this thread and still had the issue. I will try it again though. I also have used my computer the past two days and it only had to clear my cache once so I not sure if deleting the profile helped. I will create a new profile again with the above mentioned process and see if it works this time.

You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.

Install both 32-bit and 64-bit "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019" downloads, (x86: vc_redist.x86.exe and x64: vc_redist.x64.exe) from https://support.microsoft.com/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

Sorry for the late replay I have been full on study the past week. I have been using firefox pretty extensively the past week with no issues so I think it might be fixed now. I will however install the Visual studio downloads you have mentioned just to be safe thank you!

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
