Tabs loading endlessly. Show page but then keep loading with an X where the reload symbol should appear. Happens on many different websites. Firefox 93.0 (64 bit) Windows 10.

I have followed everything in Firefox Troubleshooting Guide. Nothing makes any difference including resetting Firefox, but closing and restarting Firefox delays it happening on the first load of saved tabs, but then just starts up again. Reboot the same.

This is getting to the stage where I shall have to abandon Firefox as I've tried all debugging and nothing has worked.

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support to see if that has effect.

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem. For profile you say ... " but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems." ? How do I know what might be a corrupted file and so not to carry over? Or did you mean just don't go back to the faulty profile at all?

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't tried a new profile, it's the only thing I haven't tried!
