I would like to install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for Firefox but am worried because the add-on is developed by Google. Could this add-on potentially give Google access to my browsing data?

I'm privacy conscious but not very digitally literate. Thanks for your help!

I think it's better to use the strict tracking protection in Firefox. You don't have to install this addon.

Thanks for your quick reply @TyDraniu! I will take your advice and choose to not install the Google add-on.

However, I am stil left wondering: could Google's browswer add-on (which purports to function as an analytics blocker) actually serve to collect my browsing data? Thanks again.

@TuDraniu do Firefox protocols allow deleting info to Google Analytics? Or does FF REQUIRE using Google Analytics?

Require? GA is just a tracking script and it's not required.
