My Inbox has always been listed in chronological order by date received. However, last week with no warning it changed and all emails in my Inbox are now listed alphabetically by sender, going back years. This makes it difficult to stay current or ensure follow up with important time critical emails, as I have to scroll through trying to locate the most recent ones. I can click on the "unread" link, however as soon as they are read they go into the general list by sender. How can I change my Inbox back to displaying emails according to date received?

Chosen solution

At the top of each column of your inbox you should see a column title, and one of them will show a small triangle. This indicates which columns the view is sorted on. In your case, probably sender. To sort by date, click the header title for the date column. If you click again on the same column, the order is reversed. It's so easy to change which column to sort by that you may have inadvertently clicked on a column - but then also easy to fix. You can also do this through the menu icon - View - Sort by.
