You can check the startup setting.

  • Settings -> General -> Startup: "When Firefox starts":
    "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
    "Show my homepage"
    "Show a blank page"

You can check the target line in the Firefox desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties) and make sure nothing is appended after the path to the Firefox program.
