I have been using Thunderbird for a very long time with Outlook / Office365 (pro account). For the past few weeks, Thunderbird has been taking a very long time to send an email. I see the "Sending..." popup but nothing happens. If I click "cancel" and resend immediately, the email is sent immediately. If I wait, the email eventually sends after several minutes, sometimes it does not send at all.

I use the parameters defined on this page: https://support.microsoft.com/fr-fr/office/param%C3%A8tres-pop-imap-et-smtp-8361e398-8af4-4e97-b147-6c6c4ac95353

Does anyone have the same problem and solved it?

I specify that I have no problem sending with my Gmail accounts, nor with the Outlook web application.

Chosen solution

Since the beginning of the year, I have systematically obtained the following message: "User is authenticated but not connected"

I found the solution elsewhere, we have to go in (in French): Outils > Paramètres > Général > Editeur de configuration > network.dns.disableIPv6 > pass it to "true"
