Firefox 111.0.1 (64-bit) on MacBook M1 Pro running Ventura 13.2.1

Cannot enter URL in the address book. When I hit return nothing happens. This happens even with no extensions installed, however, it works in a private window.

Any advice?

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or if userChrome.css/userContent.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the Default System theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

There are NO extensions to turn off as I stated in the original report. The theme is also default. I checked off Use hardware acceleration where available (it was set to Use recommended performance settings) - nothing helped. I'm observing the same behaviour.
