no sound on any browser other then microsoft edge

I reinstalled windows 10 and this is my second laptop that microsoft seems to have locked the sound use on any other browser than microsoft edge, sound works perfectly on microsoft edge but will not work on any other browser, has anybody else had this issue, i have contacted Mozilla before but nobody answers. thankyou

I remember hearing about Microsoft being sued for certain practices before when locking out competing software , I wonder if this is yet another one of their games.
