Hi there

I created a new folder in Thunderbird. It asked me where I want to put the folder. I accidentally chose my email address folder instead of the local folder. Now under inbox I have drafts, sent, archives, spambucket and the new folder. I tried to delete the folder. I get the message " are you sure you want to delete the folder. "I click on delete folder. Nothing happens.

Chosen solution

If this is an imap account:

  • Right click on the name of mail account folder in Folder Pane
  • select 'Subscribe'
  • clickon 'Refresh'
  • If the folder you want to delete is in that list...select it and click on 'Unsubscribe'
  • Click on 'OK'

Logon to webmail account via a browser and see the folder you want to delete is on server. If it is then delete it.
