Fennec is slow and choppy on Samsung Vibrant. When I Pinch-to-zoom, it takes a while to zoom in and out.

Thanks for the feedback! We are working on proving scrolling and zooming performance in Fennec 2.0 beta 1 and 2.0 beta 2, which will be released later this year. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Layers contains some development information about this work.
