When using Google firefox is redirecting my serch to some site named tanzinga for advertising purposes.
Running XP Home, fully updated and current. Use AVG anti-virus current. Have run ad-aware, no help. Run IObit security360, no help. It most often seems to happen when using Google to search.

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.
