I cannot find a way to block sites that I wish not to be redirected to, unlike Internet Explorer, which allows me to customize whitelists and blacklists. Why does Firefox not have this feature, especially with Google Analytics hijacking my browser?

Well, under he pull-down menu: Tools>Options, there is no way to block sites, or to allow a previously blocked site.

Firefox has no built-in option to block sites, one option is to use the BlockSite add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/blocksite/
