I bought a new computer a week ago. Install Firefox and ofcourse other items. And now Firefox starts automaticaly when I open my account. With the wrong starting page. When I'm clicking on the button startingpage the right one appears. The wrong startingpage is about TOM TOM. I removed all TOM TOM features. But that didnt help.

There might be a shortcut to the Tom Tom page in one of your startup folders. This would be one way that Firefox might launch when you login.

I'm on XP at the moment, so I'm not sure where Windows 7 puts startup items. The Microsoft SysInternals team has a program that generates a list of all your startup settings in case you can't track it down.

Autoruns for Windows

--- Earlier Comments ---

You might need to clear out a hidden setting.

(1) Type or page about:config in the address bar and press Enter (click the button promising to be careful, and please be careful)

(2) In the filter box, type or paste homepage and pause while Firefox searches

(3) The bolded lines show changes from the original Firefox setup. Some you might want to save, but any related to TomTom you can right-click and choose Reset.

A second search you might run in about:config is for tomtom and/or tom tom (depending on how they write it).

Does that work?

I don't understand a word of it. Sorry i'm dutch and my English is't that good. I think it's a autorun problem but I can understand why it is starting with TOM TOM while everything with TOM TOM is erased. Indeed i'm useing windows 7 but I can't remember given a command to start something automaticaly.

Sorry, my Dutch is nonexistent.

Could I suggest you register at Eileen's Lounge, and post a thread on the Firefox board there with a link to this thread? There are some very talented Dutch speakers there who solve problems amazingly quickly.
