To uninstall toolbars, first check the add-ons manager. For details see the section on uninstalling extensions at https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

You can also check the Windows control panel to see if it is listed there.

  • From the Start menu, select Control Panel
  • Open the list of installed programs:
    • If in icon view, click Programs and Features
    • If in category view, under "Programs", click Uninstall a program
  • In the list of programs select the program, and then click Uninstall.

If the home page that has been changed, the following link shows how to set it to something else - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page

tonye thank u for your reply. Ihave tried all the usual things such as the one u have suggested but my problem is that it does not show in my computer but the nasty thing is still there, at least I cannot find it and apart from doing a complete re-load of win7 I cannot think of anyway to get rid of it. Do you by any chance know how to see all files and folders on the hard drive. If I could get ito that perhaps I can delete from there. many thanks.
