I keep getting requests to update Firefox. The requent does not give me the option of turning down the request.. The only options are "update" or "later" The request is constant and repeats every day. How can I stop it, it is becoming annoying? The reason I do not want to update is because it says I will lose the Google toolbar and scrolling will be slower...does not seem that I will benefit from the update

Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Update: "Automatically check for updates":

If files already have been downloaded then you need to remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder in the Firefox application folder.
