If I mouse over a bookmarks folder w/ many entries, the display freezes & I can't view any other folders.
I have a LOT of bookmarks, arranged in multiple folders. When I try to see them via the Bookmarks menu, if I mouse over a folder w/ a lot of entries such that they cover a lot of the window, that list of entries freezes and I can't access bookmarks in any other folder. The only way out is to exit. Getting to a folder that's not on top of the list is impossible without mousing over another folder, which opens the list and then freezes. Now the only way I can see my bookmarks is to go to Show All Bookmarks.

I have a somewhat similar problem: my bookmarks sidebar will just completely freeze now and then. I can still add bookmarks to a folder although it won't show that the bookmark has been added--the UI just completely freezes. The only way to fix it is to close the sidebar and reopen it.
It's strange because the problem only affects the UI--I can still collapse and open folders such that when I close the sidebar and reopen it I will see the folders I opened and closed when the UI was frozen. So it's just a graphical problem--although quite a substantial one.
It has gotten really annoying because I have to close and reopen the sidebar about every 5-10 interactions with the sidebar. Full disclosure: I have about 7,000 bookmarks and many many folders. I also use xmarks and the "sort bookmarks" add-ons.
I would REALLY appreciate if firefox fixed this.
I've noticed something else. If I stay on one tab, I can do near-infinite sidebar bookmark actions (opening/closing folders, moving folders, etc.), but if I switch tabs, this is often when it freezes. Although it does not freeze every time I switch tabs.
More disclosure: I use the TabMixPlus add-on. Has anyone else had trouble with the bookmarks sidebar while using tabmixplus?
