New version not installing

  • browser says to update to new version.
  • click on download.
  • download is shown.
  • download window shows nothing after download progress bar is finished.
  • close and open browser and the version is still old and the update warning is still showing.

Try turning off your Anti-Virus application only long enough to download the new version of Firefox. Once you have it downloaded, you'll need to install it.

When you are 5 versions behind, there is no automatic upgrade / installation, it has to be done manually.
