my firefox 8 continues to "not repsond". i want to go back to version 7

Everytime I try to use my version 8, I get a "not responding" message.I disabled most of the plug-ins, and it seemed to help for 1 day. i am now getting the same messages. i want to return to version 7. Where can i find this "update". to download?

it is strongly recommended to not downgrading
