how to enable http:// with firefox 8
I need http:// to work in order to promote a product and keep ads out of search.twitter.com & be able to get into a social discussion about that specific product but http:// won't work. I checked my proxy settings in firefox 8 and there are no proxy settings. Is this the problem because tsl & ssl are checked. I have a LAN connection. Can you give me any information on how to fix this problem? I need http:// enabled. Any information will be GREATLY appreciated.

I don't really understand what you are trying to do. Are you trying to enable https:// which is SSL & secure? If not please provide further details and information.
Enable SSL to fix the Firefox cannot connect securely error message
I'm afraid that this may take some technical support from microsoft.com. My system isn't configured with HTTP for some reason. I checked windows firewall and it needs the proper information for "wed serer(HTTP)". The IP digits and characters & another port entry.80 is supposed to be the default # but windows gives me the message that" this port is being used by another enrty, please provide a unique port #". I don't know what that # should be yet.
